Charlotte Bobcats Defeat the Sixers behind Augustin and Henderson.... former coach is displeased

The Charlotte Bobcats defeated the Philadelphia 76ers last night behind an amazing offensive outburst by DJ Augustin in the first half and some clutch  jump shooting late in the 4th quarter by Gerald Henderson. My question is this: If Larry Brown watched this game last night, What must he have thought? Here is one guy that he tormented constantly when he was coach, looking unstoppable in the first half, and here is another guy that could barely get on the court while he was head coach, hitting clutch jumpers late in crunch time to seal the deal for the Cats.

Well lucky readers, We here at BobcatsPlanet have managed to procure video of what LB did to his television set after watching the events that took place in last night's game:

Judging from that video, it was time for Brown to upgrade anyway.

Linkage from around the web on the 2 heroes from last night's game.

Philadelphia Daily Newson DJ Augustin
"He hurt us," a drained Doug Collins said. "I thought our big guys were a little slow on the pick-and-roll in the first half and so he turned the corner on us. We drifted off of him early, gave him three quick threes, and once a guy gets hot like that, it's hard to get him stopped."

Gaston Gazette on Gerald Henderson's growing confidence
“I’m sure he wouldn’t have thought of shooting those shots in the past,” Silas said of Henderson, who hit four jumpers in the final 4 1-2 minutes of the win.

Said Henderson: “We just ran a play that we run all the time and the shots were falling. I’ve been struggling offensively the last few weeks. Even tonight, I had two straight jump shots that were bricks. But I know I can make those shots.”

As good as last night's win was, the good feelings were tempered by the bad news that Tyrus Thomas is going to miss the next 8 weeks with a knee injury. If you'd like to join in on the debate on how the Bobcats are going to handle the next 8 weeks with TT, join in on that debate right here. It looks like UPS, The Machete and LDM III E are going to have to step up in his absence.

Next up, The Atlanta Hawks
