Nic Batum is now a Charlotte Hornet

I don't know if "treadmill" is the right way to describe it. I think this makes us better immediately, but will probably hurt us in the long run. Vonleh was going to be at least a three year project before he was what we saw when we drafted him. Batum is going to get here and immediately help us start winning some more games.

Seems like Charlotte might be positioning themselves to go all-in, but I could be wrong.

At any rate, I kind of doubt Booker is the pick now. Feel like it's going to be a big... hopefully WCS slides to us so we don't have to pick between Turner and Kaminsky.

Whoosh whoah wooo, eek opp ork ah ah.... Sad to see Hendo go but oh hell yes!

    for the youngsters

Did this happen ever in. I see it did happen. Wtf is Cho doing??? Out of the two, I was actually starting to believe Noah could be a great, upper-echelon player between he and Cody.

You are not telling me that we just gave up Vonleh!

Yeah, I'm pretty annoyed we gave up Noah for this. Batum's good, but Noah's going to be an amazing player one day. Bummer.

If this were Zeller instead of Noah, I could live with this.

Sooooo what happens to MKG now?
    Check out @WojYahooNBA's Tweet:

Always thought Batum was overrated.  Makes sense we'd trade away Noah for him (and give them a damn good backup 2 as well).

Not torn up about it, but not blown away either.  Seems treadmill move.

I mean, Batum is much more of a shooting guard than a small forward. They should both be able to start.

Would be interesting if they want Batum and MKG to both play at the same time with MKG taking the role of the non long range shooting SG and Batum playing the SF role that Vonleh indicated he wanted to play. Or has our FO changed direction and interested in a lot of small ball with one of these two at the PF?

I like this trade for right now team but for the future I don't like giving up vonleh. But gives us the best chance to make it back to the playoffs next year as batum will prob be our 3 best scorer it also adds shooting so it's a okay deal wrong blazer tho if we had Wes Matthews on a long team contract id crap my pants

We are trading for Jeremy Lamb as well.

We are trading for Jeremy Lamb as well.

    This has been established where?

I see it now, good call.
Batum is one of my top 3 favorite players in the league. Love this.
    Cho is wheeling and dealing

If we get Batum and Lamb, our shooting just got a lot better. I'm not as big on them as a lot of people around here are, but they can definitely shoot. And I know Kemba and Lamb are bffs. Seems like the right moves to get us to become relevant in this era's NBA. Giving up Noah is a huge bummer, but I'll suck it up.

    Cho is wheeling and dealing

He saw Craig post today and said fuck it, time to do my thing.

I've always liked Batum, and still think Zeller is a better longtime prospect than Vonleh.  Losing Hendo in the deal is a bummer on a personal note though. Kinda hoped Hendo was becoming this Hornets teams version of Dell Curry.

WCS sure makes a lot more sense here now though.    If this was basically  Nic Batum and WCS for Vonleh and Hendo... I think I can deal with that.

Can Batum play the 2? What happens to MKG? Or will they play the wings together? That would be a hell of a defensive tandem!!

Kaminsky didn't even work out for us did he? I still think this is a smoke screen for someone to trade up who really wants Kaminsky, and we trade a littler farther back for Booker or RJ Hunter.
