Charlotte Bobcats vs. Atlanta Hawks:Bobcats Last Shot Beats Hawks 88-86

The Bobcats played the first quarter with a sense of intensity their fans had been hoping to see. They matched the Hawks to end the first quarter with a 27-27 tie. The second quarter saw the "Hyde" versus the Dr. Jekyll of the first. The Hawks scored 18 unanswered points before the 'Cats managed to score from two DJ Augustine free throws. The Bobcats made some solid defensive stops but the Hawks took a half-time lead, 52-39, into the break. The first half was won by the Hawks but the second half, and game, was owned by the 'Cats.

Charlotte did not manage to tie the Hawks until 1-2 minutes into the fourth quarter. The 'Cats clawed their way back from a 22 point deficit to take a run-the-clock-out last shot by Stephen Jackson and beat the Hawks 88-86. Jackson lit the Hawks up for 32 points but saved his best for last, reminiscent of a Joe Johnson heart-breaker last season that beat the Bobcats, "Jack" returned the favor.

Three Charlotte players scored in double figures led by Jackson with 32,  Shaun Livingston with a season high 22, and Gerald Wallace with another double-double - 16 points and 13 rebounds. Wallace missed a triple-double falling 3 assists short. The Bobcats remain as the ninth seed in the East, but we can only hope they build momentum from this big win and take their fourth quarter play into a full four quarters.

The Good: Stephen Jackson with 32 points;Gerald Wallace with 22 points, 13 rebounds, 7 assists; Shaun Livingston with 22 points. The team shot 81% from the free throw line; committed only 10 turn-overs; overcame a 22 point deficit.

The Bad: Had to overcome a 22 point deficit. Josh Smith with 28 points. (Can anyone on our team guard this guy?)

The Ugly: Nothing to speak of...
