Game Thread: Atlanta Hawks at Charlotte Bobcats 3/17

The Bobcats are riding an 8 game home winning streak and will be sitting at .500 if they can get a win tonight. When you think about that in relation to the expectations coming into this season it is mind boggling. Steve Clifford seriously needs to get some coach of the year consideration.

What are your thoughts on tonight's game? Will the Bobcats get the job done?

MKG with 3 amazing hustle plays already. no matter how he pans out he will always have that motor

gary neal having another great game. keeping our bench alive almost single-handily. i'm converted.

That Gerald Henderson dunk was awesome....oh wait.

Don't forget about Ridnour. He got 4 assists and a 3-pointer already.

he's been impressive the last few games.

SF position has currently contributed 0 points for the Hawks.

so ATL apparently is the best team ever.

I stepped away at halftime to get something to eat, What the Hell happened to our lead?

That was a volleyball spike by Cody!

Paul "Houdini" Millsap made it disappear.

They shot what 60-65 percent that quarter? Maybe some D is in order?

Oh and we shot 19 percent....

    Our offense has gone...

I hate this team man. They can't miss right now and our guys can't shake loose for some reason.

    ATL is the new Dallas

At least we won't face these guys in the playoffs.

I think this is the 2nd game I missed watching all year.  Heard some on the radio, and the 2nd half sounded brutal.  We really need to get more offense from the 3 and 4.  Not 40 a game, but 18-20 should be mandatory.

This loss hurts.  Really want to get to the #5 or #6 seed.

I'm really pissed off.... I felt like we got out hustled tonight and thats inexusable. Tired of using back to backs as a cop out.

I was ready to talk shit about being .500

Why do we have so much trouble against the Hawks and other draw/kick teams?

Those were some bad lineups trotted out by Clifford.  For a defensive minded coach, he really sacrificed all of it for a pathetic attempt at offense.  ATL really did a good job of doubling Al and we could not adjust.  I just know we are going to see more of this in the playoffs and I hate that.  We're basically going to live and die by how hot Kemba can shoot when defenses swarm Al.

We need to strongly upgrade at SG.  Hendo just isn't quality enough to provide scoring punch.

Josh McRoberts and Anthony Tolliver were worthless tonight

Tolliver is in a slump, Mcroberts from long range is either on or off game to game, and they swarmed Neal and Al every time they had the ball. CDR was off as well. I agree, we need an upgrade at SG to take the next step from .500 to a contending Top 4 team in the East Jordan wants. It seems like teams are doubling hard off MKG now, and he needs to cut and get the rest of the defense moving, and Al has to move the ball faster out of the double teams so we can make people pay.

Kemba and Gerald tried but they both have their limits. I love our progression, but we still have some work to do. We may need a day off, in the 2nd half we looked gassed for some reason and our shots were all flat as a result.
Ive become very adept at sensing when the team is crashing and hitting the fast forward. Fortunately haven't been doing that much lately. Last night didn't take long after halftime....
    Just one of those nights.

McRoberts could take 20 3's a night he's so open. You can feel him hesitate - like "jeez I can do this; no I shouldn't".
