Game Thread: Charlotte Bobcats at Atlanta Hawks 4/14

Here's to hoping the Hawks rest their entire team.

Or just don't even play.

We can never beat them. Never

    They just beat the Heat.

There's no chance we go 2-0 to close the season against Atlanta and Chicago if they both play to win.

For the life of me I cant figure out why we cannot beat them.

We match up bad with them for sure but they can't catch us in the standings . So they have nothing to gain hear . It's still a chance we can move up to sixth so we should come out intense. We owe them a few all so . I really think it's a win if Kemba starts .

Any one know who is the last two teams Washington plays ??

We had that first game IIRC, except for that one footed joke of a shot by Antic. The game here a few weeks ago we just weird and didn't have much intensity from my memory.

I am hoping that the tri-captains take responsibility for the lack of intensity and we open a large can of whoop-ass on the birds.

Yeah its very realistic Washington could lose both of those games. Celtics just blew out Cleveland on the road so they're playing well to end the year after losing 9 in a row. And Miami definitely has a lot to play for.

I'd be surprised if Atlanta didn't rest a couple of their guys for our game at least then play them in their finale, but it won't matter because some jerk shooting 19% from 3 will go crazy as usual against us.

We need OKC to beat Indy but right now they aren't helping...

Let's watch Mike Scott score like Kevin Durant against us one more time.

Hey. that's First Team All-ACC Mike Scott to you!

Praying Kemba plays. Watching the team play without him is miserable lol

Regardless if Kemba plays the team desperately needs to be ramping up the D if they don't want to be embarrassed come playoff time.  Getting into the mindset they've shown the last couple games have got to be killing Coach Cliff.

I love you Mike Budenholzer, i love you so much !

Unless they sit Cat killer Antic, I am not breathing a sigh yet.

I'd be fine with Kemba starting but not playing much in the 2nd half if we have the game under control.  Having him aggravate his groin at this point would be devastating.

If the streak doesn't end tonight it never will. Win this one, pray to the high heavens Miami beats Washington and we'll play for the 6 seed in the last regular season game. Readddyyyy BREAK

But you do recall those Charlotte Bobcats, don’t you? The ones formerly led by Meddling Michael in the player personnel office? The guys that took Sean May and Adam Morrison in the lottery? The team that finally clawed their way into the playoffs, then promptly undertook a fire sale the next season? The team that drafted Tobias Harris, then traded him, and their leading scorer, for Bismack Biyombo? The franchise that spectacularly tanked their way to the worst record in NBA history… and got Michael Kidd-Gilchrist for their troubles?

No matter how wretched the Hawks got during the Al Horford Era, they could always count on their ne’er-do-well cousins up I-85 to know their role as Atlanta’s underlings and play it well. That’s especially been true in recent years, as the Cats have lost eleven straight to the Hawks over the past three seasons.

Well, I hope you’ve had your fun, Hawks. Because, those Bad News Bobcats? Well, they’ve been drinking milk, and getting stronger! They’ve been like Cam Newton’s scheming young protégé, just loosening up their arms this whole time. And take a look at them now, all big and strong (strong as you are, for whatever that’s worth) and clinging to their first playoff spot in ages as if it were some voluptuous senior prom queen. Hercules! Hercules!

strong words from a franchise that passed on chris paul and deron williams for marvin williams

Miami down 15 points early.  Anyone want playoff tickets?

I definitely hate Miami now. Ready to play them. Lots of fouls. Maybe a couple of techs.

    Fuck

I really think Miami decided to take off tonight to get us as an easy first round target. Embarrassing that they'd forgo 1st seed in the east to play us.

Hey look at it this way, at least we have a couple lottery picks coming our way...

    Wizards up by 33.

    Damn.
