Early season injuries as the guys work themselves into playing shape. Hope Lamb gets back soon. Zeller hitting two free throws after a standing eight count is why a lot of Hornets fans like him. They can say what they want. It looked intentional to me. No different than it looked when Whiteside tried to sit on Cody's face last night.

    What is Batum shooting tonight?

When did Avery Bradley become Reggie Miller?

We looked like we were coming off back to backs and Boston was fresh

    What is Batum shooting tonight?

    3/10 fg 1/5 3pfg

    Basically pretty terrible.

C's not going to have a player shoot 8/11 next time we play them. Unfortunately AB caught fire.

Yep tonight is a night where we needed $Batum$ to step it up (and yes we're aware he does all kinds of things for the team) but we need more than Kemba and a team full of role players to really take another step this season.

Injuries already starting to take a toll :/

    Belli.........NO
Think we really missed Roy and losing Lamb early tonight hurt even worse. We seem like a team that, even when we aren't shooting, we are going to be in games but we need a bit more from MKG, Nic and need Beli hitting outside shots. But too, we needed guys like Shawes to take the wide open lane instead of trying to create something more esoteric. It's frustrating to lose the home opener but we looked so stiff and came off a rough b2b and still had a chance to win down key players.

And I hope the league takes another look at the flagrant as that was hard to understand.

Boston is just a bad matchup for us. Main problem is as it ever was when playing them - Isaiah Thomas needs to be kept out of the paint. He was not and it burned us most of the night. The only time it really didn't was when it was early and Horford was the focus. His presence caused a massive gravity over-shift to double team by our D that left people open for 3's. Really - the C's just have the personnel to make life very difficult for us and it showed again tonight.

When fully healthy both CHA and BOS will be really, really good. No Smart and to my knowledge CHA's top 8 hasn't practiced together yet, at least not fully up to speed.

Bradley flaming and the Hornets still had a chance on a B2B. Clunky for sure but give it 20 games....CHA's size and versatility will be a handful.

We just didn't have it last night at all.  Everything was difficult for us, nothing falling and they were hitting everything.   Not to mention the ridiculous flagrant, that should have been an ejection.   And we still had a chance.  Can't win em all.

We have a better record than Golden State, so we got that going for us... which is nice.

Jeez didn't realize Boston was 15/31 on 3FGA. Granted, I was substantially impaired from football Saturday but still. So golf clap Celtics. Otherwise CHA won:

    Drebs (88.9%)

    Orebs (13.6%)

    Assist/TO (2.44)

    TO Ratio (9.3)

    Rim protect (42.9%)

    Tied Blks and Blka (6)

    Deflections (18)

    Loose Balls (4)

    Agreed

It was pretty disappointing that the Hornets did not win their home opener, as well as going 3-0 for the first time in franchise history. The team has a good opportunity for a huge win against the 76ers on Wednesday. They have a lot of practice time from now until Wednesdays game to figure things out.

I'm happy with where the Hornets are. The Celtics are good, they had a rest advantage, and Avery Bradley was shooting 3s out of his mind.

I thought about going to the game, but when I saw that it was back-to-back for Charlotte but not Boston, I figured a Hornet loss was too strong of a possibility.
When we came back in took the lead in the fourth, that was awesome. It was almost like we just needed one more fan in the building to keep us on top! Oh well, can't win the all, haha.

Before the game started, did Kemba or any other member of the team address the crowd?

OneCharlotte video presentation opened with various members of the team speaking to a collective need to work together, it was images of the protests, the area around (epicenter/arena), as well as small vignettes from Kemba, Marvin, Cody, and maybe a few others.

Then Kemba talked to the fans in a short address from the floor. It was more about team and fandom and their appreciation.

We were at the game and our account manager hooked us up with court side seats for the whole game. It was pretty damn cool.
