Game Thread: Charlotte Bobcats at Boston Celtics 4/11

After that intense, emotional win against the Wizards Wednesday night where the Bobcats moved into the 6th seed, Friday night's game feels EXACTLY LIKE THIS

Spoiler

Please convince me that my concerns are unfounded.

Nope, wish I could. Really concerned we will sleepwalk through the next two and give sixth spot up.

I can see that the ingredients are there, but I think Al is telling them not to get satisfied. I think we'll be okay. They know more than anybody that they have to protect that 6th place finish they just attained.

Kemba is questionable for tonight's game:

I heard Stephanie ask Kemba how he was feeling after the game and wasn't sure what she was talking about exactly.

It would be a big blow to not have Kemba but his short and long term health are far more important.

Hopefully this is only a 1 game thing and nothing that lingers.

I saw that too.  He wasn't telling her anything about it for sure.   Looks like this might be a rest game for Kemba.     I'm fine with that.  I'm not advocating for resting multi players or the rest of the season.  But injuries happen and it'd be nice to see what we have without our engine.

Let me say this we have very little without our engine . Come on people LUKE,, really .  With that said I can't see Kemba setting tonight ,not that kid.  I think we will be ready to play and ever player in the locker room knows how much holding that 6th seed means . I am looking for a solid effort tonight and a win .  Boston has no one who can slow down AL . And if Kemba don't start . I hope the coach starts Pargo and leaves LUKE in his reserve role.

It's Pargo time tonight, that's a good thing. Hold Kemba out until Monday against ATL when we will really need him at 100%. Luke playing with the first unit doesn't bother me too much, but Hendo and McRoberts need to be on point to compensate.

If Kemba is out it will look like

       Rondo     >    Ridnour

       Bradley    <    Hendo

       Green      >    Mkg

       Bass       =     Mc BOB

       Sullinger  <    AL

Oyonk , Bogans , Bayless Fav Wallace <  BIZ , Zeller, Neal , CDR, Pargo

Think the bench still wins  this one even if Kemba is out

If there's any chance that Kemba's injury could become worse if he plays tonight, rest him. We're a playoff team, we have to be able to beat teams like Boston & Philly without one of our best player. I know tonight is not going to be an easy one, with or without Kemba, but still we have to able to win games like this.

Like the dude that lives 40 mins from the Cable Box yet loathes us. Quite charming - one of the guys that shows up in his Celtic team jersey when the Celts come to town? Geez

By "wearing his Celtic jersey and showing up when the Celtics come to town"  I assume you meant the 3 years around the championship in 08.   I haven't seen hide nor hair of a Celtic fan in Charlotte since about 2011 when it started going down hill.

Clifford said after the morning shoot around that Kemba being listed as questionable was even optimistic.  I would be surprised if he played.

Let Kemba rest, start Mucho Jannero and let him shoot his way into the back up pg spot over Luke Ridnour in the playoffs.   Its a win-win!

    Rondo out as well.

Glad they are going to rest Kemba if that's what's needed. Also assume based on past patterns, he will be a scratch tomorrow night as well. If he can rest up and come back like McRoberts recently did, it's the right move.

Regarding Luke, I must simply find hum a LOT more redeeming than most around here. I see no reason to want Janero promoted over him, he plays a prodding yet more true PG than Pargo from my perspective and that's not a bad thing. That's not to say I don't think Pargo is an elite professional and I think he is one of the true class acts on this team.

Not that I find Luke without flaws.... He must get the drink stirred faster, esp. when he's on the floor with Big Al. And he needs to be a lot more aware of the limitations when Biz is on the floor. And he uses that off hand so much to create space too much and I fear it will lead to an offensive foul. And there's more... But I still like what he brings for the most part.

Odd, I always seem to see a handful of dorky looking beanpoles in a Celtics jersey with a farmers tan showing off anti-muscles toting around either fore or aft an embarrassed looking girlfriend hoping noone sees them. :)

Slick Rick says Kemba may miss tomorrow as well

The problem with Ridnour being in the game is that he's giving away without giving. At least with Pargo we feel like it's a little give AND take. Ridnour might pass more than Pargo but it's not like he's putting up decent assist numbers in his limited minutes. I'm sure Pargo could get 1 or 2 assist in 15-20 minutes like Ridnour. Ridnour can barely even get in position to make a pass that'll lead to a scoring opportunity because the faster point guards hound him because they know he's slow. Speaking of slow, opposing PGs just attack Ridnour like a green light when they are on offense because they know he's not stopping them either.

    Luke Skywalker gets the start

    sigh.

MKG is having a nice start to this game

Seems like they're letting him attack the rim alot more with Kemba out, someone needs to provide that option with Ridnour and Hendo in the backcourt.

    Like it too.

Love the block, hustle to get the dunk.

14 first quarter points for Big Al.  If this game stays close, I could see him getting 40+

Watching Big Al is a pleasure. But anytime he's out of the game or taking out of the offense, we look really helpless. This game really highlights the value of Gary Neal. And it shows how much Kemba means!
