Charlotte Bobcats lose to the Clippers - The Skrull Empire is strong

So, Monday night, the Bobcats had to face off against a shape shifting Skrull who has somehow managed to capture the ability and raw athleticism of a 22 year old Shawn Kemp and mimic it in the form of Los Angeles Clipper Blake Griffin.  Having to face off against this type of alien being did not bode well for our beloved Charlotte Bobcats

With Gerald Wallace traded to Portland and Tyrus Thomas not yet ready to return from his injury, the only thing that stood between Griffin and his usual dunkfest of highlights was Kwame Brown and Boris Diaw. Lets take a look at how that worked out

Griffin did what he always does and finished up with ferocious 17 points, 15 rebounds.  He is a force pure and simple. The Bobcats on the other hand just didn't have enough healthy bodies to compete tonight. Boris had a strong offensive game with 19 points, 8 assists and 8 rebounds.  Boris undoubtedly will follow up this solid effort with 2 weeks of 6 point, 3 rebound games... It's what he does. Gerald Henderson had a strong outing with 20 points, 4 assists, 3 rebounds and 2 steals on 10-18 shooting. Off the bench, Shaun Livingston and DJ White both had good contributions. Livingston provided 17 points and 2 steals in 22 minutes. DJ White added 9 points, 6 rebounds and 1 blocked shot and actually managed to play some decent defense against Griffin late in the game.

After last night's game we're a game and a half out of the 8th spot in the Eastern conference. If the Cats can't get healthy and turn this ship around quickly then unfortunately the playoffs will be out of the picture.

Next up: The smoking hot Chicago Bulls who have won 8 of their last 10.
