This is a VERY last minute game thread for the Hornets/Magic game.

As I type this out, We are down 37-29 to the Magic in the 2nd quarter.  IT has NOT been beautiful basketball by any stretch of the imagination.

Kemba is doing all he can to wait on his teammates to help him out. But Big AL has the door to the paint wide open for everyone on the defensive end.

No but seriously though. Are the magic actually a better team than us? Because if they are thats pretty fucking depressing. Dont get me wrong they got alot of talent but I thought HORNETS were supposed to be in the race for a good playoff seed?? Or just a playoff seed at all? You know? Done with the tanking thing???

Not sure if typo or clever pun.

At this point I'm justified punching anyone in the face that suggests voting Al to the all-star game, right?

The Magic might actually be better. Vucevic and Harris are both really good.

They have good positional size too.  Big points and big fives are deadly for us and MKG has trouble with 3/4 types like Harris, Melo, LBJ, etc.

You do realize he's still hobbled right? Not indicative of his potential play.

Good points like I said. Alot of talent. Magic fans should be happy but. Damn I thought that was our team.

Defense isnt good at all. Open lanes all night. And we collapse.... open 3's

Al looks like hes a 15 year pro instead of 10 year. Just looks tired and worn out. I think its the injury

Our bench is comprised of the same type of players st slightly different height... shoot first ask questions later. And absolutely NO DEFENSE

We have no playmakers on the team besides kemba. And by that I mean someone who can run the plays, set players up. Kemba cant do that and be just about the only one able to make a shot! (Maybe lance)

No size, no efficient shooters, no playmakers, damn damn damn

P.s. them refs tho

A move is going to have to be made. Much like one was made last year to acquire Neal, some new blood is needed. I don't know if that means Lance or not, but something will be done.

To add to your "big point guard" point, Neal is short as well. So when he's playing with Roberts or Kemba the other team just towers over us.

It's because Rich Cho is a freaking idiot, years of tanking wasted by a little bald nerd.

I guess he's been hobbled this whole year then. Don't you have to be young to have potential? Do we really want to continue building a team around a guy that gets injured shuffling around and never plays defense?

We weren't young enough or athletic enough to keep up with them.... Time to do a Stephenson, Neal, and Taylor for Aflallo and Chandler deal!

the past week, i have erased at least two posts directed at mustachio downplaying the 4 game win streak and absence of lance as ignoring the obvious and just being stubbornly negative. he is right.

with or without lance, this team is not very good. with kemba shooting well this team is better but still not anything better than a lower rung playoff team. i have come to the conclusion that you just can't make your bed with kemba, mkg, lance and al and expect a good to great team. not saying trade everyone or anyone, just realizing that the team is not very good.

mkg is still developing and needs to be a 2nd unit guy unless you are plugging him into a team like okc but if you need any offense at all he can't be a starter.

kemba is really good when he is on but he is very streaky and can't carry a team even when he is white hot.

al is spectacular in some aspects and a d- in others so it is really hard to build around him.

lance is a 2nd unit guy, period.
