Does anyone else think the Pistons are going to have a huge year this year?

nope. saw them last year in person. drummond straight quit the game and took reggie jackson with him. as long as he is the main leader, they won't have a huge year. make the playoffs? probably

Pistons I was thinking could be pretty good but the Reggie Jackson injury gives me a lot of pause there. Like the Hornets, they're definitely going to need to be coached up.

Chef - I saw you were down on the Bulls in the other thread. I was in that same boat but watching them last night I was actually impressed with most of their main guys. I think most teams are going to struggle defending both Wade and Butler and having one of them always out there could be huge. Lopez looked awesome last night and is generally pretty good. Taj is a worker. After that the questions start mounting, but Wade did look really good last night.

The whole East is such a quagmire right now. Knicks will still be terrible tho.

Their problem is going to be pace and shooting. Rondo, wade and butler are very slow pace wise and none of them can shoot particularly well. The offense is really going to struggle.

I barely remember what Butler did last night and that's kinda the problem. Can't wait until MCW is added.

Love this play. Lamb could have gotten a sick alley oop, then attracts the defender (showing respect!), then BAM! slam home by Wood!

Without AD and Jrue they literally have 0 starting caliber players. Being generous I'll say 2-3 would crack a playoff rotation.

Milsap just gave the least ringing endorsement on playing with Dwight Howard I have heard. He is definitely not wanting to be part of that team after being almost traded twice last year.

8 days away this wait is killing me. Just waiting for that first Kemba stepback.

Wait even harder since the Panthers have been nothing but awful this year.

Haven't seen it posted yet.  Anyone keeping up with Frank and his Chicago Cubs fan trolling?

Have fun Frank, but be careful.  Last thing we need is a curse on us.

While I wish Frank was a Brewers fan, I'm chaffed that he's not a Cubs fan.

Are tickets really 2 dollars tonight? Do you think I will be able to purchase them at the arena.

I had a couple guys bail on me at the last minute last year. My seats are sideline near mid court. When I told the guy I had two tickets to sell he laughed when I showed him they were 200 level. I think he gave me $5 for the pair, haha. If I weren't using all mine tonight I'd send you some. I think I'm too excited for a preseason game.

Thanks, Unfortunetly I didn't end up going though. I couldn't convince my friends to goto the preseason game of a team they don't like. But damn 5 dollars for two 200 level tickets he came out with a steal.

Overall: 27
Title track: 104
Ownership: 54
Coaching: 42
Players: 37
Fan relations: 40
Affordability: 8
Stadium experience: 58
Bang for the buck: 18
Change from last year: +56

The buzz is officially back. In the second season since they reclaimed their bug-eyed identity from New Orleans, the Hornets finished with the highest win total (48) since pro basketball returned to Charlotte more than a decade ago. Their playoff run lasted but one round, but the future remains bright, and the team's jump of 56 spots from last year was the second-largest in sports.

And this gives me a great new name for the Spectrum Center -- The Big Living Room :)
