Local Boston guy with bonafide Ainge contacts reporting Horford's cut off negotiations with Boston and is expected to walk. Not terribly surprised actually, didn't think it made much sense for him to stick around if Kyrie was no longer committed.

Why would harry barnes turn down his 25m? Surely he will still have value in a year to add to his 25m, and no guarantee what he can generate in say 3 years as a FA would exceed what he could do in a 1 + 2 deal no? Is it about fit in SAC? Makes that trade look a bit worse in retrospect.
Here comes McRoberts, the throw to Walker, it's in the aaaaaiiiiirrrr, YESSSSS! Bobcats win it! My my my, Kemba Walker. Steve Martin - Toronto 12/18/2013

It's a good year to be a free agent, and Barnes isn't the kind of guy who can shred his knee and walk into a huge deal anyway. Even if he's just looking at something like $60 million over 3 years, that's a lot more guaranteed than $25 million over 1 year and you get to pick where you want to live.

And I can see Toronto slinging cash his way if kahwai bolts.

Not with us, BOS / HOU. Thought you were the one very excited about a S&T

I'm not about to fully write off the Cs but just that you can say this and it holds water is petty astonishing in itself.

I’m still taking the totality of Tatum, Smart, Boston’s cap situation, and their current/future picks over BKN. Hayward is, and was, a killer though he has to be moved eventually.

Me too. Kyrie was the mistake though, IMO. He seems like a team cohesion killer to me.

Until BKN does something with that cap space, they're absolutely not in a better spot
