Nothing I hate more than end of season meaningless minutes. I want to see him with something on the line. Give it another week and half and it's Monk with a side of Bacon and we may even turn a Paige or two.

Bad ending to the half spoiled pretty decent play especially from the bench

Mitchell just made MKG look silly and smiled as he hit the 3. MKG's defense has not been as lock down since his return from injury... still good but seemingly not as good as it was prior by my view.

Same old song man. Didnt have enough down the stretch offensively. Monk came in and hit a 3 on his first shot. Play of the game. Lol

The more I watch this team, the more essential I think it is for the remainder of Dwight's residence here for him to come off the bench.  I have been posting these splits of his +/- for several games but it's something I had noticed earlier.  We simply start too many games in the red and seemingly a long, long time ago in a galaxy far, far away, our coach used to value defense to start games and offense to finish them.  He needs to realize that with Dwight, he's getting a lower defensive payout than with Cody.  Someone check my counts but I have Cody giving up his first offensive board tonight since his return; he hit the deck, scrambled, and stole that ball back.  That (again, my counts) should mean that every time you see Stephanie throw up that 2nd chance points ticker, those are all with Dwight on the court.  And that wasn't just Cody beating scrubs to boards, it was with Gobert out there a good bit and it's honestly just him getting good position (and Dwight does exactly not that).

The end result of this was pretty much a given.  I don't know that this was a "schedule" loss but by how PT is allocated on this team, it should have been.  This is twice now that our staff (the first time was Silas) have played guys they act as if they are critically dependent on for nearly 40 mins on the first night of a B2B.  Is this some given strategy that you go scorched Earth in games 1 and figure, eh, who gives a shit in games 2?

I have some faint hope that if we are forever stuck with Dwight, forever being into next year, that coach reverts to bringing him off the bench.  He did finally relent and do this with Al and it was to a much better effect than starting him.  Will he get there?  I don't know.  I sure get the vibe when he's playing Kemba, Dwight and Nic 40 mins last night that he thinks the seat warmer is on.

Slowly starting to feel like I am watching the Dunlap season all over again.  Always in games luckily but always knowing that the loss is likely inevitable.

Way to show appreciation for the FO mostly staying put.  Cho has lost this team.

How much longer are they going to pretend that they have a chance to make the play-offs.

That's not a thing you know.  Like firing GMs to light a fire under a team isn't because the team isn't "performing" for the GM, it's because at times his role is the most dispensable part and easiest to part ways with.  See:  Hurney, Martin - October 2012.  Also see:  Hurney, Martin - July 2017.

Utah has won 8 in a row to change their fortunes for the playoffs. They are hoping for something like that, but they havent shown anything consistent to believe that is coming. Even during the "easy" part of the schedule.

Because there is no effort from 40% of the players on the court. At any moment you can find Nic, Dwight, Frank or Lamb completely loafing around.

These guys don’t want to make the playoffs. They’re not united in any way. That’s what makes you successful more than anything else.

I don't think it's entirely effort pellom but I do know what you are talking about. I think Nic fired a shot earlier in the season that we have plenty of effort, just not a lot of smarts. That seems like it can be equated to what WIAN had called a lack of organization (on the court). I think if there's a plan these guys aren't university buying into it consistently. Or there just isn't a coherent plan. Or a little if column A and a little if column B. There's also what buckets has pointed out; a reality that the players have to see that they aren't all judged by the same criteria and there's likely some resentment to that. That resentment could very well take the form of kicking rocks during play.
