SGA will be the pick!

A long way from Draft but that’s my pick.

Perfect fit with Monk.

I’m not a Kentucky Fan. I’m a Miami fan and would love to see Lonnie Walker here but it’s going to be Shai......if we hold the pick.

SGA is a killer. He took that team from Knox mid season and they were better off for it. As a Tennessee fan, he killed us multiple times this season (although we won two out of three).

I like it, but how can we say that without having a head coach? Lol

Maybe moving into a clear separation of duties model :)

Not at all. A 19 year old point guard is at least 3 years away from affecting kemba

As stated above, I really like SGA, but if that’s the way we’re going to go I’d rather trade Kemba to the Knicks and take their pick back with Frank Ntilikina. He and SGA are very similar to me.

If we plan on drafting a 19 yr old pg, screw giving Kemba the max.

Because no, hou, port, gs, cle (with kyrie), Boston and Toronto sure are proving that you can't possibly have more than one primary ball handler on the floor at a time.

The two are not mutually exclusive. You can certainly draft the Kentucky pg AND keep kemba. Develop the pg with the second unit and as he progresses used him with the first to allow kemba to slide off ball. In time (3 or 4 years) he may prove to be the franchise. In that case, trade your multi time all star with 2 years left on his deal.

What's the alternative, drafting a 24 yo PG?

Uh.. guys.. Kemba needs a backup, remember?

A 6'6" backup who can be on the floor at the same time as any of Kemba, Lamb, or Monk sounds interesting.

As does his potential as a replacement in case of rebuild or if Kemba decides to leave.  And he has as much talent as anybody in the late lottery

With that size, Shai sounds like he might make an ideal pairing with Monk on the second unit or starting sometime in the future.

I don't know much about college basketball, but sounds like a good pick.
