Good time to gauge ourselves against what looks like another good team in Toronto this season

In this first quarter, all of the bounces seem to be going Toronto's way.

Hornets can’t consistently score on Toronto’s defense

Too bad Kawhi won't stay there. They have a pretty good team this year. Our hot shooting cooling off some, but I think the effort and communication is there on defense. Just a buzzsaw right now

Marvin has been pretty bad so far this year.

The sooner Miles can replace him the better.

This Nick Nurse offense is running our guys dizzy. Read Mitch had him on his list but obviously the Raptors were having none of that.

Team is gassed having to try their hardest at both ends of the court.

If I were JB I might pull the main guys early.

Great case for needing another horse on the team. The load is just too big for one guy night after night

Yeah but even still I don’t think we’re on the same level as Toronto.

I am thinking we can't play Marvin long minutes on connective games. He seems to go into these phases where he doesn't even put his hands up on defense and he's got very little chance of staying in front of guys.
Here comes McRoberts, the throw to Walker, it's in the aaaaaiiiiirrrr, YESSSSS! Bobcats win it! My my my, Kemba Walker. Steve Martin - Toronto 12/18/2013

Toronto shot 58%, we shot 42%. Toronto 31 fast break points, we just didnt have the juice tonight. But still again, Kevin Love would be a great fit if the Cavs want to blow it up for a 1st and some expirings. But who knows with Gilbert.

Again Wow. These games are clinics. Toronto is very well coached. They came out with beautiful screen sets that our guys didn’t have a prayer to switch thru fast enough.

Toronto is just a better team than we are. Bigger, stronger, faster, longer. I think the Hornets limitation is going to be lack of elite athleticism at size and length. Our most athletic, dynamic guys are all short for their position. Our long guys are kind of soft (Batum, Lamb) or clumsy (Biz). That leaves MKG, but he doesn’t score much.

Saying that we still saw some heroic play tonite from Kemba and MKG. Lamb in garbage time :P

I was very disappointed this game with Lamb, Parker and Hernangomez. Lamb had a ton of touches early on but little came of it. His shots were either off balance or in-confident. It set a tone, because Toronto was at home and playing with fierce aggression and confidence. In the second half Lamb let Danny Green stuff his break-away dunk by not getting enough lift and not using his body well to protect. Clinic.

Parker is dribbling around too much without an apparent idea of a result. His shooting is weak. Maybe we need some Davonte Graham.

Billy got owned by Valenciunas amongst others. His footwork on D isn’t great. Maybe it’s getting time for a little Bizmack.

Oh man, let’s talk about Toronto.

I watched Kawhi tonite and I thought to myself; that’s freaking Michael Jordan. Kawhi is sincerely the closest thing to MJ I’ve seen in the NBA since, well, MJ. I just love watching Kawhi play basketball. Remember a couple years ago in the playoffs he was single-handedly beating the Warriors, but then he got hurt. He was and remains a phenomenal basketball player.

Freaking Danny Green. Remember little Danny Green at UNC? I know he evolved in San Antonio into a nice 3 and D player; but when did he become this beast!? Jeez that is one bad mf’er in Toronto.

Enough said. We got burned tonite; but what a fun game. Our new pace of play brings out the best each night; even if it’s not always so pretty or successful. Carry on boys. Chicago next up.
