Exactly, this is a home game, these are ostensibly fans as you say. It's bizarre. Not too mention how weird it is that the trade couldn't have been delayed like two hours. Or those on both sides couldn't have waited until the horn to announce/leak.

Yes, but then call time-out and pull him from the game. You are literally forcing him to move and uproot his life.
