Why the hell did we sign Shelvin Mack?
I'm with Scottley, we run so many playing groups with two to three ballhandling guards and he's a good passing PG with some decent height. This is insurance at least and if Tony's in worse shape or just projects to be at some point due to wear and age, this seems like a good get. Plus I was a fan of Mack prior to so I can't see this as a bad thing.
How does salary work on waivers? Are we are on the hook for the remainder of his 2.03m salary? Cannot imagine that's too bad considering our tax proximity regardless of how that's calculated.

Should be fine cap. We pick up minimum contract for rest of year. And counts to the cap as 1.57 million veterans minimum discount.
As you don't see how seen as a bad thing. Gives us solid veteran value for backup PG insurance, also experience playing 2 PG backcourt as did with Conley, gives coach another guard for coach's multi guard lineups. Veteran combo guard, coach can put Graham and Bacon on third string/inactive.
Its ok, but could we not have waited for this guy?
