Monk! I can’t believe it. 3 threes! That said, it wouldn’t be surprising to me if JB sits him the entire second half.

That Monk direct pass Dieng and then the and-one on the other end followed by the 1 on 4 chuck layup so epitomizes why he doesn't get as much PT as many here feel he should. It's not cold shooting, it's not entirely bad defense, it's the really bad decisions that take the team out of having the possiblity to score and guaranteeing the other team does.

Here comes McRoberts, the throw to Walker, it's in the aaaaaiiiiirrrr, YESSSSS! Bobcats win it! My my my, Kemba Walker. Steve Martin - Toronto 12/18/2013

I was thinking about him the other day, and here's my main thought. The inconsistency of this whole team outside of Kemba is tolerated, why is Malik always getting such a quick hook?

I was trying to figure it out the other night and I don't exactly know. It's clearly a rub against "coaches" or at least our current one and immediate past one.  But you have to recognize it's different than simply a bad pass. I heard a traffic cop say a few years ago about a street near us that has a lot of speeders on it; you hit someone and they die, that's a horrific tragedy, you hit someone while travelling 40 (this is a 25mph zone) and they die, that's a felony.  I think of Monk's mistakes in the same vein.  If you are already doing what the staff doesn't want you to do and you compound it with mistakes, it's the hook.  We just aren't "exactly" privy to what those offenses are so we have to extrapolate (sometimes it's not that hard).

Not crazy about the win but I do think we saw what we will see the rest of this year and hopefully the next 2 years and that is Batum will be playing off the bench.  IMO this one move will make the Hornets a better team and much more enjoyable to watch.

I just want to know (outside all his shortcomings) why Malik Monk is the only guard...maybe the only player on the roster the past 2 years who hasn’t gotten even the opportunity to start a basketball game or two.
