That’s the talk ..........

But what I hear this time of year never ends up coming to fruition.

I was certain we were getting Shy for 9 months..... I’m happy with who we got but things always change.

I was certain we were getting Booker for 9 months and then......

I can remember arguing with some clown on here about Booker being better than that kid from some third tier school whose dad was coach, LOL

Win the lottery or get the Uni Bol!

I will admit that I was wrong on Shai.

But it won't really matter when we get that number one pick tonight.

But who needs Bol when we got Zion?

Bol Bol has been the guy I wanted regardless of where we pick. If we’re talking ceiling, I personally think he has more potential to be a generational talent than Zion. Mans is 7’3”, can shoot the lights out, and has guard skills off the dribble. Damn near sounds like a 7’3” Kevin Durant. Unless his health is a serious issue, which I hope not but would come as no surprise looking at the history of guys this size, I’d be disappointed if we had the opportunity and didn’t draft him.

Have you guys ever watched a draft?   Bol Bol isn't gonna be there at 12.   He's 7'3 with octopus arms.   Scouts wet dream.   Someone will take that chance in the top 10 especially in a weakish draft.

never watched a draft. i've only encountered rumors on forums about drafts.

i must have missed where someone said he'd be there at 12.

Yuck. He’ll be there at 12. I doubt he plays much in the NBA. Too breakable.

Has he even had a serious injury? He’s just really skinny so everyone says he’ll fall apart. KD did okay, Kristaps did okay

He had a foot injury... which for a big man can end a career.   (ala Yao Ming)

I'd draft him at 12 in a heart beat.   I just don't think he'll be there.   I'm not arguing about where he SHOULD go, I'm just saying where I think he will go.

2016 Thon Maker was a 19 year old stick figure averaging 22/12/4 blocks in high school.   Going into the draft that season he was slated as a second round pick.   He went 10th.

Bol Bol averaged 22/11 and 3 blocks in his freshman campaign in college.  And he's the son of an NBA legend.  He's slated to go 12-15.   I think he'll end up going in the 6-9 range.   Possibly higher.    Somebody always falls in love with 7'3"

Not knowing anything significant outside of the ACC, I love the idea of a 7'3" shooter with a handle. I don't particularly love that we'd have so much of a logjam at C and hope part of this June is reducing that but I'm definitely game if he's there.

I’ll grant you he’s very skilled, especially for his size. Nice touch, runs the floor well. 7’-8” Wingspan.

But to compare his frame to other NBA guys, other than his father, isn’t right. Even Durant isn’t that thin. And Dad isn’t a legend as in Hall of Fame athlete. He’s a legend because he was a 7’-6” freak of nature; a sideshow curiosity.

I don’t mean to be cruel, Bol Bol does seem to be much more skilled and athletic than his father ever was. He’s not as thin as Manute either. But the DNA isn’t going to let him gain much weight or strength. He’ll always be at high risk for injury.

A unicorn for sure. I’ll grant you that.

We can only move up to 4 or higher right? E.g. it's like a (edit: ~10%) chance we move down to 13, 5% chance we move up to top 4, else we are #12. Like we can't get to 5-11 no way, no how I thought. With that, unless this unicorn has been seen pooping rainbows, if so lucky, I'd rather see us bundle a #4 with a Marvin plus-1 to net a positive trade and shed salary than take on undue risk. At 12, this sounds intriguing. At 1-3, I thought it was established that the thoroughbreds are Zion, Ja, and RJ.

Just looked at tankathon again and it dawns on me that we technically should root for not moving from #12.  It would seem there's a 9.6% chance if we move it's to 13 and only 4.8% chance if we move that it's to 1-4.  Then again, I guess there nary a difference between 12 and 13 so I'll throw caution to the wind, utter my "we got this" and hoping that "this" is top 3 :)

After landing 12, and seeing some of the projected draft rankings, Bol Bol was my hope... but, I saw a different mock that has him going at 7. I doubt he's there at 12.

Before the mocks I was hoping for Coby White, but figured he would go top 10. I'm scared mmMJ is gonna take Little.

I’d be more than happy with Little at 12, based on his potential. I’d rather take the chance on Bol Bol though, if he is there of course.
