6th in rebounding for centers I believe. Dude looks pretty amazing, either shooting from the outside or putting the ball on the ground.
Here comes McRoberts, the throw to Walker, it's in the aaaaaiiiiirrrr, YESSSSS! Bobcats win it! My my my, Kemba Walker. Steve Martin - Toronto 12/18/2013

Nah, he's a keeper. I want to see Biz and Willy depart but Cody has value on this team.

I'd keep Cody and see where we land in the draft.  If we land Wiseman, we can try and trade Cody for a late first. If not ride it out with Cody. Cody seems like someone who could be a rotation 3-5 years from now when this team is hopefully a playoff team.

No idea who Weiseman is but if your logic is to acquire some magic one and done center for the purpose of trading Cody, there's no hope well ever see eye to eye. Even if the kid is a unicorn, everything you are seeing right now informs the value of having more than one competent-plus guy at that position.

I’d be skeptical of 1st half stats this season. And Q4 blowout stats.

So we're in the quantifying 3rd quarter stats space? :)

On a team with direction, I agree. This team needs to cash in any assets for future picks until a clear foundation emerges.

Holding out hope that Mike sells.

Yeah, in regular times, he'd be our Nick Collison or Udonis Haslem.  Solid guy who stays with the same team for their whole career, their hard work and on and off the floor becoming part of the community.

But if he's keeping these numbers up, and a playoff team has a need, well since we're in the asset collecting phase of building, we need to maximize all the value we can, especially since the front office dropped the ball on getting assets for Kemba.

His 30 minutes a game and 3PA rates are probably the most interesting numbers. Ultimately he needs to remain healthy through January to garner serious interest from a contender willing to absorb his $15.4m 2021 salary.

The rub being CHA likely won’t get an asset in return unless taking on a decent chunk of deadish salary - basically the return being commensurate with the dead money #.

Zeller fits LAC better than Zubac who’s still 22 and makes $7m/season until 2023. Zubac + Harkless (team 3) for Zeller works, assuming Charlotte is willing to absorb approximately $8m in deadish future money from team 3 and LAC is compensated with a second(s) from team 3.

Idea being LAC upgrades the next 2 years while carving out a bit of cap wiggle room when Cody expires. CHA gets the younger prospect and his reasonable deal hoping he exceeds his contract value for 3 years. The costs primarily being Zubac isn’t the overall defender that Cody is, he’s a traditional C, and of course the $8m in dead money next season.

I personally wouldn’t do this, although it’s defensible and fits the current direction.

Probable top 3 pick and In my opinion a future All-Star, my favorite player for us to get

I agree with the others above, if this was a playoff team I'd 100% be onboard with keeping Zeller but as we stand we could use the picks.
